The SheROX Triathlon in Devens, MA presented by F.I.R.M and SheROX: Aug. 19th, 2012
I came in 1st place overall for the Pro & Elite females in a time of 1:00.12 This was a wonderfully run event with a GREAT turnout of beginner to pro female triathletes. The course was challenging in the swim due to the sun blinding me but it was still FUN. The bike course was a FAST 2 loop course with a few hills and the run course was pretty much all up hill except for the very beginning and ending. It was both off road and road looping around the lake. It was a GREAT race and some GOOD TIMES with some amazing athletes and friends. Check them out at: www.firm-racing.com and www.sheroxtri.com
My splits from this race are: Elite / Pro F Swim 8:56 (this includes putting on my sneakers to run up the long hill to transition so this is a little off LOL), T1 2:31 (long run up hill to transition from the lake), Bike 26:06 avg. 23 mph, T2 0:43, Run 21:58 avg. 7:35 min. per mile (most of the run seemed to be uphill LOL)
2012 USAT Northeast Regional Championships: Pumpkinman Half Iron Aquabike
THIS IS AN AWESOME EVENT and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! I was very surprised and HAPPY I came in 1st place overall for the men and women with a time of 2:53.51. My swim went pretty good with a time of 26:42 and my bike I averaged 23.2 mph and finished the 56 miles in a time of 2:24.41. I was planning on racing in the full half ironman but due to an achillies injury I opted to rest my foot from running. It's doing much better now and I'm so thankful that the AWESOME race director let me switch last minute from the half ironman into the aquabike. This shows just how GREAT this event was and how GREAT the entire staff were! It is FUN for athletes from beginners to professionals. The post race turkey dinner and entertainment ROCK! The atmosphere and crowd was fantastic. It was TRUELY GOOD TIMES at a wonderfully run event!

2012 Amica 19.7 Newport Triathlon held on September 22nd
I'm very HAPPY to say I came in 2nd place for the Pro Women. This race had a beautiful course in the amazing setting of Newport, RI. My 1/2 mile swim time was 11:14 (this is a little slow for me but I took it a bit slow running out of the water due to some rocks and I didn't want to re-injure my right Achillies and the timing mat was on shore), my 16.1 mile bike time was 43:37 avg. 22.1 mph (there were many turns and some hills) and my 5K run time was 20:55 avg. 6:45 min. per mile. I HIGHLY recommend this race to all athletes from beginners to professionals. They are professionally run events and great for spectators. I am looking forward to racing at more of these in the future.
